The site of our Agua Caliente Hot Mineral Spring

Hot Mineral Spring Story

In the early 21st century, it became clear that the 1950s infrastructure built to protect the spring would need to be replaced. In 2015, Agua Caliente Tribal Council decided to embark on a major retrofit of the steel collection ring over the top of the hot mineral spring to preserve the integrity of the naturally occurring hot spring. Above-ground structures were removed and underground supports and the steel collection ring were carefully replaced. In May 2018, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians broke ground on the modern-day development of the Agua Caliente Cultural Plaza, which includes the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum, The Spa at Séc-he, the Oasis Trail and Gathering Plaza. The new Cultural Plaza celebrates the hot mineral spring and the Tribe’s history, culture, traditions and modern-day life, ushering in a new era of luxury, tranquility and healing. MINERAL BATH The custom mineral baths fill with pure thermal mineral springs rich in mineral content to soothe muscles and skin, hydrate, and assist joints. This private bath is made just for you to soak in the sacred waters. Gentle bubbling jets create the sound of boiling water like the name Séc-he. Flotation uses high concentrations of Epsom salts in a tank to allow your body to float on the dense waters. With minimal stimulation of light, sounds, gravity, and temperature it allows the mind to relax and reset. Supporting creativity, reducing pain in muscle and joints as well as decreasing stress by absorbing magnesium into the skin for a calming effect. The Gharieni Quartz bed uses ground quartz and amber heated on the massage table to create a unique user experience and enhance the service. While lying on the treatment table your body is contoured by the grains, a rolling air cushion gently stretches the back and the table tilts back and forth throughout to shift the body. The table is also used with water cells to create the sense of massage on a water bed unique to our signature cupping water massage. Feel the power and benefits of whole-body cryotherapy. It is known for supporting circulation, muscle recovery, full range of motion, increased blood and lymphatic flow, and reduced inflammation. This is a unique experience that offers many wellness benefits for all types of guests. Halotherapy uses the power and cleansing effect of salt to help support lungs and respiratory system. Great for skin health and acne. Luxury homes in PALM DESERT Palm Desert offers homes in various architectural styles, custom builds, and even raw land to build your one-of-a-kind dream home. Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree multi-dome getaway as short-term rental it fetches a nightly rate of $780.

The desert retreat known as “Bonita Domes,” now listed for $2.119 million. The desert retreat’s cluster of earth-based domes has 1,339 square feet, and a pool, spa, and ‘meditation’ temple add to the offerings. Dubbed “Bonita Domes,” the one-of-a-kind compound is currently a short-term rental that fetches a nightly rate of $780. It spans 1,339-square-foot across a nearly 2-acre lot with a swimming pool and spa, outdoor gazebo kitchen, and a temple that Airbnbers “use for meditation purposes,” said James Bianco of Coldwell Banker Realty, the listing agent. There’s also a step-down circular fire pit. Records show “Bonita Domes” last traded hands in October 2020 for $808,500. The builder and former owner created the structure using the SuperAdobe method developed by the nonprofit California Institute of Earth Art and Architecture (CalEarth). They’re made with long sandbags, barbed wire, dirt and essential tools. In a nutshell, sandbags packed with damp earth on-site are coiled and stacked into dome shapes. CalEarth likens the technique to building a clay pot. The plaster finish prevents erosion. Completed in 2014, the sustainable earth-based domes include a 1,000-square-foot main dome home with two bedrooms, a living area, a kitchen with a breakfast nook, and two bathrooms. Another two bedrooms, studio living quarters, and a communal bathroom with a soaking tub and partitioned-off shower act as an extension of the main home, but they are housed on the property in separate domes. “Bonita Domes” are designed to code and feature traditional plumbing and air conditioning. SuperAdobe is a modern take on centuries-old adobe construction. The technique was introduced in the 1980s by CalEarth founder Nader Khalili, an Iranian-American architect who died in 2008 at age 72. The domes are economical, sustainable and sturdy enough to withstand earthquakes like the 7.2-magnitude quake that shook Nepal in 2015, the BBC reported in 2019. Khalili’s work has been published by NASA and recognized by the United Nations. The nonprofit CalEarth, located in Hesperia, California, offers workshops on building with SuperAdobe. 2023 Desert X Artists Named

A dozen artists from Europe, North America and South Asia will deploy their artworks at outside areas across the Coachella Valley. City News Service,News Partner Posted Mon, Jan 30, 2023 at 3:19 pm PT Reply The 2023 event will run March 4 until May 7, according to a statement from Desert X. (Desert X) COACHELLA VALLEY, CA — Organizers of Desert X, a biennial outdoor art exhibition in the Coachella Valley, announced Monday the artists who will participate in the fourth edition of the site-specific display opening in March. A dozen artists from Europe, North America and South Asia will deploy their artworks at outside areas across the Coachella Valley from March 4 until May 7, according to a statement from Desert X. “There’s a saying attributed to the Kwakwaka’wakw nation that a place is a story happening many times,” said Desert X’s Artistic Director Neille Wakefield in a statement. “This idea of place as the multiplicity of stories flowing through it is central to Desert X. Artists are an essential part of this understanding and the ideas they bring to it irrigate our perception of place, nourishing the narratives already there and propagating those that have yet to be told.” Participating artists who will present immersive works including sculpture, painting, writing architecture, design, film, music, performance, choreography, education and environmental activism are: — United Kingdom-based artist Rana Behum with “Chainlink,” a structure appearing as a shimmering pyramidal haze of color or a chain link fence floating above the desert floor and spread across the valley. — United States-based artist Lauren Bon with “The Smallest Sea with the Largest Heart,” a poetic object to remind viewers of society’s capacity to destroy, their connection to water, and that the desert was once a sea. — U.S.-based rancher, artist and educator Gerald Clarke with “Immersion,” a giant board game with a goal to reach the center by answering questions about the traditions and histories of the Cahuilla Indians and other sovereign cultures. — Mexico-based artist Paloma Contreras Lomas with “Amar a Dios en Tierra de Indios, Es Oficio Maternal,” a Western-meets-scifi, audio-visual tour of a landscape featuring a dated car screeched to a halt and an array of tangled limbs from two mysterious characters, in an effort to push back at the violent male gaze of the landscape. — U.S.-based artist Torkwase Dyson with “Liquid a Place,” which is part of an ongoing series that features a sculptural installation that engages people as liquid beings seeking new forms. — Mexico-based artist Mario Garcia Torres with “Searching for the Sky (While Maintaining Equilibrium),” a herd of mechanical bulls designed to make people fall and becoming a macho celebration of failure. — United Kingdom and India-based artists Himali Singh Soin and David Soin Tappeser with “Namak Nazar,” immersive audio-visual environments inviting people to think through ecological loss and the loss of home. — U.S.-based artist Matt Johnson with “Sleeping Figure,” a cubist rendition of classical odalisque featuring shipping containers and the harem to which they belong. — U.S.-based artist Tschabalala Self with “Pioneer,” an equestrian statue serving as a visual representation of the birthright and place of Native and African American women within the American landscape. — Bangladesh-based artist Marina Tobassum with “Khudi Bari,” a modular mobile home that is low cost, durable, and can be assembled and disassembled to address the role of design amidst the world’s climate conditions. — Mexico-based artist Hector Zamora with “Chimera,” a performative action transforming street vendors into walking sculptures made of balloons to question the everyday uses of materials and functions of space. “In a time of global crisis, many of the artists have created spaces of freedom and possibility, suggesting new ways to build healing cultures of care that embrace and protect (bio)diversity, opening up opportunities for joy and hope anchored in justice,” Desert X co-curator Diana Campbell said in a statement. “Immersing ourselves in the stories of place also awakens us to its mythologies, whether they be religious texts and oral traditions across multitudes of belief systems that see us creating vessels to escape the flood as well as being cast into the arid wilderness to test the limits of existential and spiritual survival.” Visit for vacation rental jomes in the Coachella Valley.. California Desert Chorale Concludes Concert Season

On December 11 and 18, the California Desert Chorale closed its winter season with a finale performance of the “Holiday Singin’ & Swingin” live concert. Led by Artistic Director Tim Bruneau and Principal Accompanist Bruce Magnum, the choral program featured classical pieces and holiday favorites. The concert took place at 3 PM at the Hope Lutheran Church in Palm Desert. The California Desert Chorale live choral concert included festive and fun performances of “A Doo Wop Christmas” by Kirby Shaw; “Swing into Christmas” by J. Garland W. Kent & J. Livingston, arranged by Mac Huff; “The Chanukah Song (We Are Lights)” by Stephen Schwarts, arranged by Nowlin; and many more. Special features of the performance included 32 choristers arranged by soprano, alto, tenor, and bass; 11 Instrumentalists with chamber orchestra including violins, viola, cello, bass, flute, oboe, harp, trumpets, and percussion; and an audience sing-along portion with a medley of holiday favorites including “Deck The Halls;” “Joy to the World;” “We Wish you A Merry Christmas;” and more. Lyrics were provided along with holiday concert translations. The California Desert Chorale exists to bring joy to singers and audiences alike by providing a wide variety of choral and other inspiring vocal musical performances. The California Desert Chorale will hold the 2023 Scholarship competition, beginning on Saturday, January 28, at 1 pm with a public voice class for all participants. A high degree of personal commitment is required for members to meet the California Desert Chorale’s standards. The Chorale has Monday night rehearsals from September through April; periodic Saturday morning rehearsals; very busy concert week schedules, and occasional community service performances. A substantial portion of the group’s concert repertoire is sung from memory. Therefore, significant individual effort is required between rehearsals. Membership auditions occur prior to the Chorale’s concert season and intermittently during the season, at the discretion of the Artistic Director. All those interested in Chorale membership must perform an individual audition with the Artistic Director prior to acceptance. Current members may be required to re-audition at any point if the Artistic Director perceives the need. Each auditioning singer must perform a memorized solo work from the classical, folk song, musical theater, American standard or sacred music repertoire. Typical audition material includes operatic arias, art songs, and ballads by George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, etc. The musical selection one chooses to use for the audition should readily reflect good breath support, consistent tone quality, accurate tuning, and interpretive skill. Those auditioning must also provide printed sheet music for their audition song. Each auditioning singer will be asked to discuss his or her prior experience as both a choral and solo singer. Some auditioning singers may be required to work privately on specific technical and interpretive skills as a qualification of their membership, at the discretion of the Artistic Director. The California Desert Chorale is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. The California Desert Chorale is composed of both professional and amateur singers who bring a wide variety of choral and solo experience to the ensemble. For more information on how to support and be involved with the chorale, call (760) 346-4933.

For your toe-displays out-there, that’s a 24% and 12% edge to q, respectively and the state common for ELA, after utilizing Shmoop. Assistant principal Charles Mazet features a lot of PDHS’s SBAC success to Shmoopis assets. ” Shmoop helped our pupils to get more comfortable with the evaluation, and Everyone was so upset regarding the fresh examination,” he said. ” the particular examination is mirrored by It so students may enjoy the process that is researching and believed what they got into.” Visit for vacation rental jomes in the Coachella Valley.. The photography is gorgeous, the information is up to date, and the nice mix of lux and regular hotels, restaurants, and stores perfectly shows how the area can be enjoyed by all income levels. Palm Springs (and the entire Coachella Valley) are definitely one of the memorable jewels of the state of California. I’m born and raised all 45 years of my life here in the beautiful city of palm springs. And I had to give you a tip of the cap to a very beautiful, and fact-driven presentation of this beautiful city and valley. Bravo good sir, and as a new subscriber, I look forward to viewing more of your videos sir. Stay safe and blessed. How strange … that I stumbled upon this video. I have been thinking of moving out to Palm Springs now that I’m retired. And just two nights ago, I VIVIDLY saw my late husband in a dream telling me to move to Palm Springs. Perhaps the Universe and my husband are paving my way, This is an awesome video of Palm Springs. We had been going to PS for many years until just before the covid crisis. We were lucky to enjoy most of what is shown here prior to 2020. ..but sadly much has changed – even just before covid. The hotels were sold off or changed hands to the new breed and prices skyrocketed. The old feels have disappeared My partner & I and many friends who were regulars like us for many years cannot afford the QUADRUPLED prices! even in modest hotels/motels. It’s ridic My family and I moved to Palm Springs 12 years ago, my kids are growing up here, it’s beautiful to call PS our home Every time I visited PS, I’d always think, “This is so much more beautiful than it needs to be.” This was a very good video. Your passion shines through in your visuals, storytelling, and carefully selected music. Looking forward to more of your creativity.  Any plans for popular southern California ocean-side resort town videos? I want a cool oceanside affordable community to beat the summer desert heat! As a local, I can say you covered some of the best. Great work. Oh WOW! All I can say is this is a stunning video! I’ve never been to Palm Springs & am in Seattle in the spring, under a heating pad & blanket shivering, & it’s raining outside. I realize now that I should have moved there in the 1980s! But, I plan on coming to visit sometime this year! Thank you for the great scenery & information! Used to love going there with my parents when I was a kid. I’m 72 now, and your video makes me want to plan a trip  Loved your video – we have loved Palm Springs since our first visit in the late 90s. You captured it perfectly and we have a trip planned soon and this video has made us even more anxious to get there. My girlfriend and I (from Maryland) visited Palm Springs about 3 years ago in their off-season and absolutely enjoyed it. This was before the word ”pandemic” was ever mentioned in polite society. She often talks about going back but,I talk her out of it. Sometimes in life, you can’t repeat a once-in-a-lifetime experience,…and that was what we had in Palm Springs. My husband and I had a great time this past August and can’t wait to return so much that we’re considering moving. He knows I am tired of the Winter weather. I didn’t mind one bit of hot weather there. A brilliant video with updated images which is refreshing. I feel that you could have mentioned the diversity of PS especially as there are a huge number of LGBT people living and visiting plus there are party-central Arenas. Also, perhaps a mention of the misogyny aspect of the Forever Marilyn sculpture causes some a lot of anxiety. Otherwise, a great video, and I look forward to more. Best video I have seen of Palm Springs. Loved it!  I wanna go there so bad I love to see the Indian Canyons. Do you think
