WildLights’ pathways will take guests on an illuminated journey around the Zoo with endless awe-inspiring sights and festive photo opportunities. Guests can go for a spin on the carousel, enjoy themed treats, take a free, souvenir photo with Santa, and much more. In true WildLights tradition, the G-scale model trains, with more than 3,300 feet of track, will be decked out for the holidays. Light up your holiday and join us! Beginning at 6:00pm, WildLights guests will be allowed to enter at the time designated on their ticket. Parking is free in the Zoo’s main parking lot, but spaces can fill up quickly. Please plan to carpool and/or use a rideshare service to save time. Overflow parking is located on Portola Avenue, Haystack Avenue, and Buckboard Avenue. Palm Springs is known for its midcentury architecture and design, as well as contemporary thinking in these historical buildings. Modernism Week is a California 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that encourages education, preservation, and sustainable modern living as represented in the greater Palm Springs area—otherwise known as the playground to the Hollywood stars in the 1940s and 50s. Modernism Week’s signature February Event is an annual celebration of midcentury modern design, architecture, art, fashion and culture. This exciting festival takes place in February in the Palm Springs area of Southern California. Modernism Week features more than 350 events including the Palm Springs Modernism Show, Signature Home Tours, films, lectures, Premier Double Decker Architectural Bus Tours, nightly parties and live music, walking and bike tours, tours of Sunnylands, fashion, classic cars, modern garden tours, a vintage travel trailer exhibition, and more. In addition to the events in February, Modernism Week Hosts Modernism Week — October. Partner organizations collaborate to produce a “mini-Modernism Week” to kick-off the active social and recreational season in Palm Springs. It also includes the Palm Springs Modernism Fall Show, featuring an opening night preview party on Oct. 14, offering attendees a cocktail reception, live music and an exclusive first chance to shop at the show before it opens to the public. The Fall Show continues Oct. 15-16 and will feature more than 45 premier national and international decorative and fine arts dealers. During these special events, visitors are able to take a tour, offered by mini coach or bicycle through Modernism Week and PS Architecture. These excursions orient guests to the diverse, iconic neighborhoods of Palm Springs while immersing them in history and design—meaning travelers will be able to distinguish the Movie Colony from the Old Las Palmas like a local in no time. The idea of affordable desert modernist design for the masses, attendees will learn, was introduced in the 1950s with the construction of more than 2,000 homes along the Alexander tract. Newly Announced Events Join Arena’s Inaugural Lineup of Concerts with Reba mcentire, Eagles, The Doobie Brothers, Jimmy Buffett, Maroon 5, Grupo Firme Acrisure Arena, the newest world-class venue in Southern California, today announced its latest slate of upcoming events to take place when the $300M+ venue opens in December 2022. Coming to Acrisure Arena in 2023, newly announced events include one of the most successful female recording artists in history, Reba McEntire will perform at Acrisure Arena with special guests Terri Clark and The Isaacs on March 31. With 35 #1 hits under her belt, the award-winning entertainer will deliver hit after hit during her live show. Sesame Street Live! Make Your Magic, the longest-running stage show for children, on January 11 and 12; the original extreme sport, Professional Bull Riding (PBR) brings the Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour on February 10 & 11; worldwide icons, iconic Harlem Globetrotters on February 24; Mexico’s “King of the Accordion,” Ramón Ayala on February 26; and one of the most legendary rock bands of all time, Journey on April 25 with tickets on sale Friday, October 21 for Journey. Acrisure Arena to Open in December

The highly anticipated Acrisure Arena has finally announced December dates for upcoming musical performances for its late 2022 grand opening. The $300 Million Acrisure Arena will be the proud home of AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds (inaugural AHL season 2022-2023) and serve as a multi-purpose live entertainment venue built for AHL hockey, live music and events.
